Support for Avalanche & Polygon is live on Swim

Native asset swaps to and from Avalanche, Polygon, Solana, BNB Chain & Ethereum are now live on Swim

We’re extremely excited to announce that we have added support for native USDC and USDT on Avalanche AND Polygon! Now you can swap native assets between Avalanche, Polygon, Solana, Ethereum and BNB Chain in a seamless and efficient manner by using Swim!

The expansion to Avalanche and Polygon is a big step forward in our mission to support a multi-chain world. The addition of other metapools will allow us to support swaps from many other Wormhole-supported chains, along with our currently available chains.

What is a Metapool?

Metapools allow Swim to facilitate trading between new tokens and an existing pool.

Today, our four new metapools allow native USDC and USDT to be swapped seamlessly with any native stablecoin in our existing hexapool i.e., USDC, USDT on Ethereum and Solana, as well as USDT and BUSD on BNB Chain.

To swap Avalanche or Polygon stablecoins with stablecoins on our existing supported chains, it’s first swapped with the hexapool LP token, before being redeemed into the stablecoin from the hexapool. The four new metapools therefore take in Avalanche or Polygon stablecoins with hexapool LP tokens, which means existing LP token holders are not affected by the new metapool if they don’t add liquidity to it.

About Swim

Swim is a multi-chain AMM for native assets, designed to make bridging as easy as possible. Our protocol eliminates the need for wrapped assets by allowing users to swap from a native asset on one chain to a native asset on any other supported chain. Swim’s solution reduces the barriers faced by users when performing cross-chain transactions, enabling true interoperability between various blockchain networks.
